CO₂ is the greenhouse gas that is primarily responsible for global warming. The specified values were obtained using the legally required measurement procedure. These figures do not refer to a particular vehicle and do not constitute part of the offer but are purely for comparison purposes between the various types of vehicle. The fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions of a vehicle not only depend on the efficient use of the fuel by the vehicle but are also influenced by driving style and other non-technical factors (such as ambient conditions).
Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyres etc.) may change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics; these equipment and accessories, as well as weather and traffic conditions, affect consumption and driving performance values. Where ranges are given, the figures for fuel consumption and CO2 emissions depend on the selected tyre format and optional extras.

Small gestures can achieve a lot. That's true not only in interpersonal relationships, but also when it comes to gesture control in your new Golf. This function makes it even more convenient to operate the optional Discover Pro navigation system. It enables you to easily move around in the main menu and various submenus using a right-to-left swipe gesture to switch pages. For example, with just a single hand movement, you can move from radio station to radio station, song to song, or photo to photo. For each gesture, you use a colour code on the user interface to see where gesture control works and where it doesn't – after all, the traditional control options are of course also available for use at any time.
